Board of Directors
Mary Hepburn, President, roots French, and Danish. Mary is a potter and retired educator in visual arts and music. She was the founding director of Main Street Arts in Saxtons River, Vermont where she spent many years working in community and children’s theater while guiding the organization to be one of the cultural centers of southern Vermont. Having recently returned to her home state of Maine, she is delighted to reconnect with her old friend Frederica Chapman and to be involved with Theater for the Earth.
Frederica Chapman, Treasurer, Director for Theater for the Earth. Frederica is a visionary mask-maker, storyteller, and dancer. Once a Masters-prepared psychiatric nurse and self-employed Jungian dream therapist, she has facilitated women’s circles and used sound, visualization and ceremony for healing.
Christina Barstow, Secretary, roots, Irish, Swedish, English. Christina is a founding board member of Theater for the Earth. As the owner of Barstow Art and Design, she combines fine interior house painting, decorative painting, surface refreshing & color consulting, as well as general business skills with an ability to be a fountain of ideas and steadfast inspiration. She creates art, bakes delightful pastries, and builds chandeliers.
Pam Seed, roots, German, English, Irish. Pam is a Vibrational Sound Healer and lifelong student of spirituality as well as a Reiki Master Teacher. In her energy healing practice, Pam is passionate about helping others with the many spiritual tools that she has developed. Pam has retired from her private practice in Speech/Language Pathology where she was able to offer many innovative therapies for children and adults. She is excited to be joining the Board Circle of Theater For The Earth.
Gabriela Laham, roots, Argentinian, Middle East. Gabriela comes to Theater For The Earth from her country of Argentina. She has traveled to many places and loves to connect with different cultures–with different peoples. She is a massage therapist, healer, and Life Coach, and holds a B.A. in Education. She has decades of experience leading energy healing, and movement groups. Recently, she felt ready for something new. When she learned about Frederica’s work, she really liked it and was inspired. She realized she could channel her energy for the nurturance of Mother Earth and all her people. It was a true direction for what she valued. It felt right to work toward gathering intercultural women dancers/actors to speak for the feminine in all people. It is exciting to imagine making theater and celebrating our Mother Earth and Waters.
Sally Pollard, roots Irish, Germain, English, Native American. Sally enjoyed a forty year career in Interior Design, specializing in natural materials. For several years she also facilitated guided meditation and other creative workshops at a women’s retreat center, helping women to honor their highest spiritual selves. She recently completed a Master Gardener program, and currently works designing and maintaining gardens. In addition to volunteering in many capacities at the Bearcamp Center for Sustainable Community in Tamworth, NH, she is a UNH Extension Master Gardener Volunteer, providing guidance on permaculture, biodiversity, and habitat restoration for citizens who want to be dedicated stewards to this beautiful earth. It would be an honor to support this talented team of creatives to realize their mission of bringing “A Song for Mother Water” to worldwide audiences
